Disillusioned

At this point, I'm both disappointed and disillusioned about how this whole club project has been progressing.

On the one hand, I have yet to receive a single email from anyone at all, from anywhere in the world, commenting on the site or how it could be improved. I have been laboring in a total feedback vacuum. I don't know if anything that I want to do is anything in which anyone is interested, and I don't know if anything that I've done is anything that anyone wants to see.

On the other hand, coding progress on the site has virtually come to a halt. I have ideas, but the lack of feedback has robbed me of both motivation and direction. If nobody cares, then why bother? If you care, why haven't you written?



Regardless, I intend to soldier on (so to speak). I've got more coding to do, even if I don't really feel like doing it anymore. I am determined to at least finish the member module, no matter what it takes (or how long). Maybe once that section is up and people can actually join, the membership will itself motivate me to code better and faster. Well, faster anyway. And the module that publishes these Commodore's Messages now works in its entirety, as near as I can tell. That's a relief.

It's hard to make myself care when I am alone in this regard. If you would like to see a yacht club for sailors of misfortune to flourish, then why don't you drop me a line and let me know? A few words of encouragement can go a long way, and I need all that I can get.
